麦先生讳大成，号尔章，泰西波尔都噶里亚国人，自幼入会真修。康熙四十九年庚寅岁入中华传教。于雍正元年七月十四日卒，年四十七岁，在会三十年。

Tomb of Father Mai of the Society of Jesus

Father Mai of the Society of Jesus, given name Dacheng, style name Erzhang, was a native of the country of Portugal in the Far West. From a young age, he entered the Society and devoted himself to religious practice. In the 49th ^year of the Kangxi reign (1710), he entered China to preach. He passed away on the 14th ^day of the 7th ^month in the 1st ^year of the Yongzheng reign (August 14, 1723), at the age of forty-seven. He was in the Society for thirty years.
