Tomb of Jesuit Father Pang
Father Pang, given name Jiabin, style name Muzhai, was a man from Germania of the Far West. From a young age, he entered the Society (of Jesus) and embraced its rigorous formation. In the 36th year of the Kangxi reign (the year 1697), he came to China to preach, passing away on the 8th day of the tenth lunar month of the 48th year of the Kangxi Reign (November 9th, 1709). At that time, he was forty-five years old, and had been in the Society (of Jesus) for twenty-nine years.
