Father He, personal name Tianzhang, style name Qiwen, was a native of Macao. From a young age he was initiated into the Society of Jesus. He preached for forty-five years. He passed away on the first day of the fourth month in the yuan year of the Qianlong reign (1736), at the age of sixty-nine, having been in the Society for fifty years.
